Welcome to The Resilience Room
"I didn't just survive it. I wrote it down so you wouldn't feel alone."
About the Show
A Room Where
Nothing Is Off-Limits.
The Resilience Room is the companion podcast to the memoir "What It Took" — a raw, honest, and deeply personal space for every woman who has ever given everything and wondered if she had anything left.
For five years — and counting — the host has been the primary caregiver for her sickly mother and father. During that time, she also fought through menopause, navigated heartbreak, and wrestled with her own identity and survival. This podcast is where she tells that story — and invites inspiring guests, experts, and healers to help you find your way through yours.
Each episode brings real conversations, practical resources, and expert guidance — from caregiving specialists and wellness coaches to grief counselors and women who have walked this road and come out the other side.
And woven through every episode: an unashamed, bold declaration of faith. God showed up in the good moments and the toughest ones — and this is a platform where that story gets told.

More Than a Podcast.
A Lifeline.
The Resilience Room is built to give you something real every single week — not just a story, but a way forward.
Inspiring Guests
Caregivers, survivors, coaches, and women who have been exactly where you are — and found their way through. Their stories will move you and remind you that you are not alone.
Expert Guidance
Doctors, therapists, grief counselors, wellness coaches, and specialists who bring real tools, real resources, and real answers to the questions caregivers are too exhausted to Google.
Rediscover Yourself
Caregiving has a way of erasing you. Every episode is designed to help you find your way back — to your identity, your joy, your purpose, and the woman you were before the weight of it all.
Rooted in Faith
God is not a footnote here. He is the foundation. Every episode carries the thread of a faith that was tested, stretched, and ultimately proven — because He showed up every single time.
A Spiritual Platform
He Was There
Every Single Time.
The Resilience Room is not a religious program — but it is a faithful one. The host speaks boldly and without apology about the role God played in her five-year caregiving journey. Not as a cliché. Not as a platitude. As a witness.
There were moments when the medical bills were impossible, when the grief was suffocating, when the loneliness was deafening — and God showed up. In a phone call. In a scripture. In a stranger's kindness. In a morning that came after a night she wasn't sure she'd survive.
If your faith is the only thing holding you together right now — you are in the right room.

Each episode of The Resilience Room goes deeper into the stories, the lessons, and the prayers that fill these pages. The podcast is the conversation the book began.

The First Episode
Why I Started Talking About It
The very first episode. I share why I decided to stop suffering in silence — and why caregiving for my mother and father while navigating menopause, heartbreak, and my own health nearly broke me. This is where it all begins.
Show Notes
In this debut episode, the host breaks the silence she kept for years. She shares the moment she realized she couldn't keep pretending she was fine — and why she decided to turn her most painful season into a podcast, a memoir, and a movement.
She opens up about the weight of being the primary caregiver for both her mother and father, the physical storm of menopause arriving at the worst possible time, and the heartbreak she was carrying in silence — all at once. And she talks about the one thing that held her together through all of it: her faith.
This episode sets the tone for everything that follows — honest, spiritual, practical, and full of hope. If you have ever been the strong one, the one everyone leans on, the one who holds it all together while quietly falling apart — this room was built for you.
